I am offering lessons for beginner to intermediate guitar students of all ages in the mid Hudson Valley near Rhinebeck, NY. I have been playing - and studying - guitar for 14 years as well as having completed a Bachelor's degree in music (jazz focus). I can teach a variety of styles, including jazz, funk, blues, rock and more (I have studied classical as well and also play other less classifiable styles). In teaching, I focus on making sure I teach music and not just guitar - that is, while teaching skills specific to the guitar, I also integrate music theory, note reading, improvisation, and composition.
